The full palette of choice
This page shows what the full palette of choice for a human being looks like.
Using this palette, by sqeezing the highest quality information of all the streams of information you have acces to, right now, on it, you can paint a pretty picture on the canvas of your reality with what you really consider a wonderful life.
Please note that:
if you (chose to) believe that you have to limit your choice, to picking only one from a limited number of (given) options ( either X or Y) while you are on some level aware that nor X nor Y (alone) adds the colour to your life circumstances you consider most beautiful and entirely worthwhile looking at for years and years to come.... you are not using your whole palette of choice.
(The text below the image goes into more detail on that.)

Here is a short list of very common ‘ either…or…..’ core-beliefs.
A thing/person is either good or bad.
An idea is either right or wrong.
A person is either in or out.
I know from my expertise in the fields of both human interactions and information management that these core-beliefs are at variance with the main natural settings of 'life itself'.
-------
The main characteristic of ‘life itself’ … is being all things simultaneously, interrelated, in an ever changing, ever constantly moving and transforming different mix of energy and matter.
(Both 'old' spiritual teachings as well as 'the latest' scientific teachings seem to agree on this.)
That makes a very important tool for ‘any aspect of life itself’ in order to 'be itself' ....... transformation.
The ability to transform what is, with something else that happens to be, into something else that is.
Universal evolution.
Positive sustainable evolution would mean:
moving from something that sustains the wellbeing of some/all aspects of life, to something that sustains the wellbeing of more/all aspects of life even better.
Negative ( unsustainable… in the long run) evolution would mean:
moving from something that sustains the wellbeing of some aspects of life, to something that sustains less aspects of life.
(On a very deep esoteric and philosophical level... life itself is always sustaining itself, it has no preference for collapsing or expanding..... since no aspects of life are ever lost. But we may have a preference on how much space, freedom and time we give to all that matters to us.
Most of us consider increase of wellbeing and expanding possibilities more fun and more desirable than loosing (sight of) nice aspects of our wellbeing......
-------
As an advisor on the topic of how to set up a (belief/information management) system in such a way that it supports the increase of wellbeing of all people involved, I see how people struggle to get their heads around seeing how harmfull sticking to these static (either always.... or never) core-beliefs is.
Setting up your core-belief system, based on defining things in static terms in an opposing (excluding) way will influence deeply all your moment-to-moment choices!
The small, rather insignificant ones when it comes to developments of wellbeing (" Which pair of socks shall I wear today?"), just as much as the highly relevant ones .
With a core-belief-system set up like mentioned above, you’re palette of choice will inevitably also contain a great deal of ‘either.. or’ choices, where your freedom of choice then only can be exercised by choosing between options .
Where chosing to invest (time/energy) in one.... implies... not chosing the other.
All variations on:
Do I (from) now:
EITHER...... relate to this (important for my wellbeing) aspect of life (person/issue/theme)
OR.... relate to that (important for my wellbeing) aspect of life (person/issue/theme)
Do I follow either my heart’s desires or my mind’s reasoning?
Do I either quit or continue this?
Do I live for either fun/amusement or achieving something meaningful?
Do I either ‘ live to work’ or ‘work to live’?
Do I either accept or decline (a suggestion, idea, invitation)?
Do I endeavour to either satisfy my needs and desires or those of others?
Do I either add something or remove something?
.....
I hope that it is easy to see where the stress of making important life choices comes from, if you reduce your palette of choice like this. (Not just once... but reduce, re-use, reduce, re-use .......over and over again)
At some point you'll feel (know!) you've tried all options you see,. None of them really work very well in the long run and life keeps on closing in on you......
Which, if you really want to adress that unsatisfying way of being, can better be understood as...
You are locking out (by the pattern of your choices), more and more of the beautiful (multifacetted, multilayered) oppertunities of life, taking less and less of those into consideration.
Since there is definitely so much more to life than choosing between two options ( all the time) , you are then not choosing all of life.
When you narrow the (important) choices in your life down to either -this end of the spectrum- …. or - the complete other end of the spectrum- you miss out on ……. the full spectrum of options in between.
There, other, harmonious hybrid-options are available that do justice to all your needs and desires and all your knowing…..
When you are using more and more of your knowing, then you are applying the healthy natural dynamics of life to your (now ever evolving into better and more) understandings, to your best ability, onto the (new) developments in your life.
That gives a complete different dynamics from ---re-ducing to using less and less of it--- in your daily choices.
It produces an entirely different result.

It produces an entirely different result.
How? Why?
- Because now you are actively ( in words and deeds) including more and more of your knowing to your best ability.
- You can hold increasingly more needs and desires and aspect of a situation/issue/choice into your awarenss, stick in the mix on the palete of choice..
- You do gain the experience on what works better, both for satisfying your own needs as well as simultaniously those of others and life runs smoothly ( again).
The dynamics, are then used to feed/support/enhance the life. experience.
- better choices
- more needs met
- more experience gained on how more needs on more aspects of life can be met simultaniously
- expanding knowing and awareness
- more possibilities
- better choices
- ..... (repeat)
So if you find choosing a more and more complex and dificult task and you want to simplify your decision making process.....
you might want to consider to open up your palette of choice.
